Online Therapy
I have been working on Zoom since the start of the pandemic. Like most of us, I had my initial reservations. Would it be as effective as face to face Counselling? What about the body language? Technical glitches..
I have now been working on this platform for over three years. The advantages have been many. Travel time for the client has reduced to zero. Many of my clients who work from home find this an ideal way to engage in therapy. Couples too are happy to have sessions from the comfort of their home. I send out 'invites' on a Sunday for all the following week's sessions. We 'meet' at a pre determined time. Sessions are for 50 minutes.
In addition to in person therapy ,Online work allows me to accept clients from any location in the UK. It has given both me and the client a lot of flexibility. I believe that therapy is just as effective in this format as it is with face to face sessions.
